About the Website: This website was created to allow school districts convenient access to my curriculum, credentials, philosophies and experiences in the field of education. Please use the links above to navigate the website. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at [email protected].
About Me: My name is Bryan Kay and I am currently a graduate student at Michigan State University and a 5th grade teaching intern. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a teaching concentration in Social Studies. I am certified to teach kindergarten through fifth grade, but connecting with third to fifth grade students comes easy to me. My upbringing has taught me to be a hardworking and motivated person that has led to my passion and desire to learn and teach. Technology is becoming exponentially more important in today's society, in order for students to keep up with the world I try to implement technology in my teaching as much as possible.
I have spent seventeen years of my life dedicated to playing the sport I love, hockey. My passion for hockey, competition and teamwork has led to my affinity for teaching. Playing and coaching hockey has made me a better teacher because I know what it takes to create a successful team and I am always looking for the best in everyone. When I do have free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports (hockey, football, golf, basketball, etc.), playing guitar, listening to music, reading and hiking. I am a very adventurous person and am always up for an exploration. I have been skydiving and cliff-diving in Northern Michigan, I have hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and I have camped on the only island in the world that has wild horses. My adventurous personality and attitude reflects how I teach; I love to try new things and have no problem facing my fears.
